Sherry is a patent attorney in Husch Blackwell's IP Litigation group. She is engaged in all areas of intellectual property law litigation and counseling, including patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secrets. Sherry has successfully represented clients in a wide variety of technical areas including pharmaceuticals, plastic films and aluminum extrusions, camera phones, ultrasonic welding, precision cutting tools and electric motors. Sherry has a significant amount of courtroom experience, including handling arguments on Markman claim construction issues, motions and examining witnesses at trial. She has been involved in a number of high profile Hatch Waxman/ANDA litigations, including patent infringement cases involving the following pharmaceutical products: Plavix® (clopidogrel bisulfate), Abilify® (aripiprazole) Actonel® (risedronate), Uroxatral® (alfuzosin), Ultracet® (tramadol/acetaminophen), and Eloxatin® (Oxaliplatin).

Sherry’s experience includes litigating complex trade secret misappropriation cases in State and Federal Courts, including obtaining the dismissal of a trade secret misappropriation claim for lack of standing brought against a national manufacturer of aluminum cans (Williamson v. Rexam Bev. Can Co., 497 F. Supp.2d 900 (S. D. Ohio 2007)). She also provides counseling regarding the protection and enforcement of trade secret assets.

Sherry also has significant trademark and copyright litigation experience, including matters involving the enforcement of trademarks in the insurance industry. In addition, Sherry has argued before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, including successfully obtaining a Board reversal of a Trademark Examiner’s refusal to register under Section 2(d) (In re Capital Blue Cross, Serial No. 78869843).

Sherry graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2001 with a B.S. in physics.
